Appointment System
We would like to keep your waiting time to an absolute minimum. Consultations
are by appointments. Urgent problems and emergencies are seen as they
arrive. You can be assured that our doctors will do their best to see
you as quickly as possible We run an appointment system with 15 minutes
per consultation. Some consultations such as full medical checkups, insurance
medicals, first antenatal visits and postnatal visits all require more
time. If you require a longer appointment to discuss a complex issue please
let reception know when making your appointment. We have six (6) full
time doctors and growing. Please note that if you require a further follow
up appointment after you have seen your doctor it is recommended that
you book this before you leave the practice.

We have a parking facility for more than 50 cars right at our front door.
Our main entrance is on street level with extremely easy wheelchair access.
Medical staff availability.
Medical staff in this practice will always be available during normal
surgery hours by telephone. Your call will be put straight through to
the doctor in an emergency or deemed urgent by our triage nurse. In non-urgent
cases there may be a wait, or the doctor will always endeavour to call
you back.
After Hours Services
We are always available. We endeavour to provide an around the clock care
for our patients in the area.
Please call our normal office number 6551 3111. The answering machine
will give you the number to contact the doctor on call. We will call you
back.
There is an after hours fee applicable.

Out-Of-Surgery and Hospital Visits
All medical staff are available for house calls and local nursing home
visits in certain circumstances. Please arrange for these visits with
our helpful receptionists if the severity of your medical condition stops
you from attending the surgery in person. We also have admitting rights
at the Mayo Hospital. There is a fee associated with house calls and after
hour consultations.
Reminder System
At Medisense Healthcare, we are passionately committed to preventative
medical care. We will send you a newsletter at regular intervals offering
you preventative health services appropriate to your care and needs. Please
look out for these in your letterbox.
Test Results
Please make sure that you have a follow up appointment for all your results.
We will endeavour to book you in at the earliest appointment possible.
Please ring us if you are unable to keep your appointment.
Privacy Issues
We strictly adhere to the code of best practice approved by the Australian
Medical Association (AMA), Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners
(RACGP) and as such your personal information and medical record is a
sacred document. It is our policy to maintain security of personal health
information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available
to authorised members of staff. We require that all our staff members
sign a confidentiality agreement. No patient information will be disclosed
to any other party without the patient’s signed consent. Please feel free
to voice any concerns or queries that you may have directly to us.
